About Latitude Croydon

Redefining Accommodation

Founded in 2015 by Dr Naila Hina Ansari, NHS GP and award-winning healthcare leader.

Our Story

After 25 years in medicine, occupational health, and healthcare innovation, Dr. Ansari founded Latitude Croydon in 2015 to ensure that tenants live in safe and decent homes.

Her frontline GP work revealed the critical link between health and housing. Far often, patients could not stabilise their health without safe and suitable homes. Most landlords lacked the niche, capability or appetite to cater for the additional healthcare needs. Dr Ansari had set out to address this anomaly by offering suitable accommodation and adapting ‘Awaab’s Law’ a decade before it became a legislation in October 2025.

Our journey continues by creating communities to include disabled people, offering places to live that meet their needs and provide the highest levels of independence, choice, and control over their daily life.

Our Role Today

Latitude Croydon is one of London's largest providers of accessible and adapted accommodation. We support tenants requiring long-term stability, step-free access, safety, and specialised environments. We offer a range of accommodation from 1 beds to 5 beds, flexible tenancy terms and support options catered to the tenant needs. Much of our general housing is designed for people who use wheelchairs. Today, we are proud to manage over 200+ homes throughout South London, Surrey and Sussex.

Our Intent

Traditionally, disability has been viewed through a medical model that focuses on what is considered “wrong” with an individual, or how an impairment should be corrected so they can fit into existing systems and living environments. This approach often removes choice and control, limiting independence and shapes lives around services rather than people. Our intent is to challenge and rebalance this way of thinking. We provide thoughtfully designed homes for people with disabilities and complex needs that gives dignity, autonomy, and individual choice. By working in partnership with social services, we create environments that adapt to the person, not the other way around.
